CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) - Cedar Rapids Police officers shot at a driver Tuesday night during a chase in the city.

Officers were trying to stop the vehicle driving on the southwest side of town around 5:50 p.m. The driver took officers on a pursuit after refusing to stop before the chase ended in the 1200 block of 15th Street Southeast.

During the pursuit, officers fired at the vehicle and injured the driver. They were later taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Iowa DCI has been notified of the incident to investigate further.

No names have been released and it's unknown what led up to the pursuit.
