DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Davenport residents with EBT cards say they’ve had money stolen after shopping at the Walmart on West Kimberly Road.

Electronic Balance Transfer cards are what people on assistance use to pay for food. But at least five people have told TV6 Investigates they’ve had their accounts cleaned out this week.

TV6 Investigates is looking into the issue and getting answers.

Davenport police confirmed they’re receiving reports about the thefts. They couldn’t immediately say where the thefts were happening or how many there were.
