OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) - Opelika police are asking for the public’s help identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run Tuesday afternoon that left a 76-year-old man injured.

Authorities say the incident happened around 4:29 p.m. in the 2100 block of Rocky Brook Road. Investigators say the man was standing at the end of his driveway when he was struck by a vehicle.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. His condition was not immediately available.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a gray SUV, possibly a Honda Pilot, last seen traveling north on Rocky Brook Road toward Morris Avenue.
