EL CENTRO — Valle Unido por Beneficios Comunitarios, a coalition of residents and organizations, will host two public town halls ahead of the release of the Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) for the Lithium Valley Specific Plan. The PEIR will outline how the plan may affect land, air, water, wildlife, roads, and neighborhood noise across much of Imperial County’s North End.

The town halls aim to inform and empower the community to take part in shaping the region's future. Spanish interpretation will be available, and local food will be provided for those who RSVP.

The first event will be held in El Centro on Wednesday, August 13 at 6:00 p.m. at 571 Main Street.
