Lake Mary is still alive in the Little League Softball World Series.

Following its first loss in the modified double elimination format , 2-1 to a Tulsa, Oklahoma team on Monday, Lake Mary’s offense returned to form in a 9-0 victory over Connecticut on Tuesday night in Greenville, North Carolina.

Lake Mary advances to face a team from Mill Creek, Washington, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in another elimination game that can be seen on ESPN2.

Eight of the 12 World Series teams remain alive, including international teams from Japan and Brazil. The tournament is scheduled to conclude Sunday with a 3 p.m. championship game televised by ABC. This week’s other games are available on the ESPN channels.
