This was the response I was met with after critiquing an Instagram post , with the nature of the post’s activism rising in popularity. The account, titled Orchestra is Racist, claims to address instances of racial discrimination within the orchestral world through its platform of over 10,000 followers. In this particular post, it aimed to critique and call out specific music festivals that fostered little diversity among their teaching staff. “There is no lack of BIPOC talent, there’s only a lack of willingness to invite them,” they claim in their post.
