KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A man was convicted of attempted first-degree murder among other charges, District Attorney Charme Allen announced.

After a two-day trial, a jury found Jevess Deron Craigmire, 28, guilty of shooting his ex-girlfriend in April 2024 on Dandridge Avenue, Allen said. He was also convicted of: • Especially aggravated robbery • Carjacking • Unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted violent felon • Employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony

According to Allen, Craigmire had recently moved out after his relationship with his girlfriend ended.
