Faced with introducing himself to his new UCF teammates, Sincere Edwards did what anyone would do when asked to open yourself up to about 120 strangers in a public setting.

He did the Worm.

The dance move gained widespread popularity in the 1970s and later captured the spotlight again during the breakdancing craze of the 1980s. Granted, it probably wasn’t something a 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end would typically break out, but it did the job, bringing laughs and smiles to Edwards’ teammates.

“I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I went out there, and that’s the first thing that came to my head. So I did the Worm,” Edwards recalled. “The boys loved it and man, it was fun.”
