PHILADELPHIA (KTRE) - Former Central Heights Blue Devil Grayson Rodriguez is set to have season-ending surgery on his pitching elbow next week, according to ESPN.
The 25-year old has not pitched in the majors since July 31, 2024.
According to ESPN, Baltimore Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino made the announcement before Monday’s game against the Phillies.
Rodriguez began the season on the injured list with right elbow inflammation. He had a rehab outing scheduled for April 17, but that was canceled due to a strained lat muscle. In July, Rodriguez experienced elbow discomfort and the Orioles shut him down indefinitely.
