FORT STEWART, Ga. — On Wednesday afternoon, five soldiers were injured in a shooting at Fort Stewart .

The shooter was eventually apprehended around 12:30 p.m., according to a post from the fort. Those who were injured were treated and eventually moved to the Winn Army Community Hospital.

Since the call for an active shooter came in around 11 a.m ., local, state and national officials have been keeping an eye on the situation, pouring out their support for the victims and their families. Here's a look at some of them.
