DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A search is underway for a missing Minnesota hiker in the Wyoming wilderness.
Grant Gardner, 38, from Lakeville, Minn., was hiking alone in Bighorn National Park when he went missing.
According to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office in a Facebook post , Gardner had planned a three-day hike through the Misty Moon Lake area, eventually summiting Cloud Peak.
He texted his wife on July 29, saying he had just sumitted Cloud Peak, but no one has heard from him since.
He was expected back to his car by Wednesday, July 30.
Authorities say a text sent to his wife at the summit indicated the climb was more taxing than he expected, and he was tired.
Multiple agencies have been working to locate Gardner throughout in difficult conditions.
