The public hearing for a proposed judgment levy in Uintah School District is being held tonight. “A large company in Uintah County successfully appealed the state’s tax assessment,” shared Uintah School District concerning the matter. “As a result, the Uintah School District has received $390,482 dollars less in property taxes than expected…Over the past five years, the school board has used savings – instead of adopting a judgment levy – to cover similar shortfalls totaling more than $2.3 million dollars.
