There has been plenty of talk about the fall of Apopka football during this offseason.
Nearly 20 players have transferred to other schools. Coach Jeff Rolson, fed up with the current atmosphere of Florida high school football, decided to call it quits. There is a new coach in charge, with defensive coordinator Marcus Neeson being promoted, and he is dismantling the old-school single-wing offense, which has been an Apopka staple for more than 20 years.

None of the above, however, seems to bother the new guy in charge. Neeson seems as content as a bear in a mid-winter hibernation. He’s comfortable in his surroundings, and if people think the walls are crumbling around him, let them, Neeson says.
“That’s what I want them to think,
