CLINTON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Clinton issued a boil water advisory early Wednesday.

Officials said the advisory is a precautionary measure as the city repairs a broken water main.

The city advised customers in the following areas boil their water prior to drinking or cooking:

5th Avenue Extension

College Park Drive

Hayworth Avenue

Wisteria Avenue

Mansdale Drive

The city said it will notify customers when the advisory is lifted.
