EUGENE, Ore. - A repeat offender was arrested Monday with the aid of a License Plate Reader (LPR) in Eugene, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said that the arrest occurred on Aug. 4 following a burglary investigation. The incident began on July 30, when police responded to a burglary at an apartment on the 1100 block of West 6th Avenue. The suspect, Travis Lee Riley, 41, was identified by a detective who developed probable cause for his arrest on a burglary charge. Riley was already awaiting sentencing for previous property crimes and a weapon offense.
