There was some nail biting at the end, but the Lake Mary All-Stars continue to win at the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina.

On Wednesday, they needed an extra inning to get the job done in a 5-3 victory over Mill Creek of Washington.

Lake Mary, which at 3-1 has been by far the busiest team in the tournament, gets a well-deserved day off on Thursday. The girls are scheduled to play a Friday 4 p.m. elimination game against either a Tulsa, Oklahoma team or a team representing Johnston, Pennsylvania. That game will be televised on ESPN2.

The offense struggled to come through early against Mill Creek as Lake Mary left six runners on base in the first three innings. They finally broke through for a run in the fifth on an RBI single from leadoff hitter Alana Lu
