ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A suspect is charged in a 2024 homicide in St. Louis County.
Me’Kel Walker is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The 19-year-old is being held on a cash-only bond of $1 million.
Court documents state that Walker shot Jeremiah Latimore on March 8, 2024.
According to investigators, Walker and Latimore were in different cars when they got into an altercation at a convenience store in the 8300 block of Jennings Station Road.
Prosecutors said that surveillance video showed Latimore running away and Walker raising a gun, aiming it in the direction of Latimore and firing it across West Florissant Road.
Latimore was shot in the back. He was later pronounced dead.
