AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - It’s Water Wasters Wednesday , and this week’s spotlight is on sprinklers soaking more street than soil.

Viewers sent in photos and a video showing water pouring onto the road outside the Northwest Emergency near Western and Amarillo Boulevard.

Instead of watering the grass, the system appears to be flooding the pavement.

A viewer says this is the second or third different occasion that they’ve seen sprinklers shooting up in the air and running off onto the street.

I reached out to the main hospital, and the marketing director responded with this statement:
