The Phoenix Police Department’s Communications Bureau — home to its 911 call center and dispatch operations — has officially moved in to the newly-renovated police headquarters at 100 W. Washington Street in downtown Phoenix, the department announced on Wednesday.
This is the first fully operational work group to relocate to the new building.
“This is a moment of immense pride for our department,” Acting Chief Dennis Orender stated in a news release. “These dedicated members of our department are the calm voices in our moments of crisis. When the community calls, they’re answering. This workspace reflects our operators’ and dispatchers' professionalism and their dedication.”
