BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - It can be tough for citizens to walk around Bismarck, especially in the wintertime. A nonprofit is asking for the community’s help in addressing this challenge.
Community Bridge Transportation gives free and reduced rides to those in need. But the need for rides continues to grow. The nonprofit said it hasn’t received a response from the city yet. I contacted Bismarck city leaders to learn more about the issue.
Taylor Barnett runs Community Bridge Transportation. He said he gives about 200 rides every week.
He came to the City of Bismarck to request help getting a recycled BisMan Transit bus, which would allow him to give more rides and assist people in wheelchairs.
“One of the members at the meeting was all for the idea, but I just kept getting bounced around.
