CLEVELAND — One look at 14-year-old Evan Lallo's bedroom tells the story of a young athlete's dreams: Walls covered with signed jerseys from Cleveland Cavaliers stars Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, basketballs autographed by his high school football team, photos with teammates from his Chardon lacrosse squad.

But these mementos also tell another story — one of incredible community support that rallied around Evan when his athletic dreams were threatened by cancer.

Last summer, what seemed like a simple sports injury changed Evan's life forever.

"So one day in the summer, I started feeling muscle pain. Like ... it felt like a heartbeat in my arm," Evan recalled. "And they, my parents, thought it was just something with lacrosse, like a sports injury."
