BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Kylie Duchsherer doesn’t like playing it safe. That statement applies to her golf game and her college commitment saga.
In golf, you take risks.
“Staying positive, I think, helps a lot going hole to hole,” said Kylie.
That’s what Kylie did when she decommitted from her hometown school, UMary.
“Just didn’t feel like the right fit. It didn’t really feel like home,” said Kylie.
Home ended up being in Grand Forks.
“And UND really feels like that to me already,” said Kylie.
Kylie will test her mettle in Division 1 instead of Division 2, but this challenge is part of what drew her to the Fighting Hawks.
“I felt comfortable at Mary and the golf aspect of things, but once I decided that I can play division one and be at UND, that’s just what I decided to go with,” s
