MADISON, Neb. (KTIV) - The murder trial for Carrie Jones continued, Wednesday, with testimony from convicted killer Jason Jones, her husband.

Carrie Jones is on trial for her role in the murder of Gene Twiford, in Laurel, Nebraska, in August of 2022.

Prosecutors say Carrie Jones played a role in Twiford’s killing, but the actual act was done by Jason Jones, who then killed three other people and set two houses on fire.

On the stand, Wednesday, Jason Jones insisted Carrie Jones had nothing to do with the crimes committed. “Has Carrie Jones ever asked you to kill anyone?” asked a defense attorney. “No,” responded Jason Jones. “Has Carrie Jones asked you to ever hurt anyone’s house?” asked a defense attorney. “No,” replied Jones. “On August 3rd did Carrie Jones encourage you to kill Gene T
