COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has a new agent in its ranks, and he comes with pretty impressive credentials — and an even more inspiring story.

On Wednesday, SLED welcomed 13-year-old DJ Daniel as an honorary agent, one of more than 3,000 law enforcement agencies across the country where Daniel has earned that distinction.

Earlier this year, Daniel was a guest at President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress, where the president surprised him by making him an honorary Secret Service agent.

That caught the eye of South Carolina Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette.
