VANCOUVER, Wash. — Around 10 people were transported to the hospital after a crash at a Vancouver intersection on Wednesday evening.

Vancouver police and fire crews were called to the intersection at Mill Plain Boulevard and 160th Avenue around 5:17 p.m. Callers said that a man driving a tow truck ran through a red light, hitting multiple vehicles.

The Vancouver Fire Department said that approximately 10 people were transported via ambulance to local hospitals after the collision, which involved four cars. One passenger had been ejected from their vehicle during the collision, while two people from two different cars had to be rescued using electric extrication tools.

The others were able to get out of their cars on their own or with some assistance or equipment, the department said.
