BRISTOL, CT. (WFSB) - An incredibly raucous crowd showed up to support Fairfield National Little League in their must win game Wednesday to keep their Little League World Series dreams alive.

Starting pitcher SJ Taxiltaridis was terrific all game long, and it helped that his 12-year-old twin Jimmy was behind the plate catching for him.

Fairfield played amazing defense, not letting anything get by them.

Their opponents from Jackson, New Jersey kept the game scoreless thanks to pitchers Tyler Ballard and Gavin Hobbs.

In the top of the seventh inning, Fairfield broke through with a Jimmy Taxiltaridis single to center field.

Luca Pellegrini was called out initially, but after television review, he was ruled safe. That gave Fairfield a 1-0 advantage.
