COEUR d’ALENE — Idaho State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred around 12:10 p.m. Monday on U.S. 95.

The incident took place in the southbound lanes of U.S. 95, just north of the intersection of U.S. 95 and West Prairie Avenue.

The suspect vehicle was a blue Dodge Dakota with unknown license plates and is reported to have rear-ended another vehicle, causing a collision with a third vehicle, according to police.

After the collision, the truck fled the scene by driving through the dirt median and into the parking lot of the Hayden Cinemas, current location unknown.

At the time of the crash, the Dodge was carrying several pieces of lumber in the bed of the truck.
