SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- Susan Merritt is one of only fifteen students across the country to receive the Albert W. Dent and Foster G. McGaw graduate student scholarship from the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Susan, a 38-year-old non-traditional student, told us that age should not hold anyone back from returning to school.

She is an online student, but it hasn't stopped her from forming relationships with her fellow students through social media and messaging systems.

She has a husband and three children, a lot to juggle with work and school, but the flexibility of online classes helps it work. She chose LSUS because of its low tuition cost.
