VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Vanderburgh County authorities say they arrested an 18-year-old and a juvenile after two vehicles were broken into in the Melody Hills Subdivision.

Deputies were called to the subdivision around 2 a.m. Thursday, where they say they found 18-year-old Helkena Langinbelik and a juvenile accomplice.

VCSO says two vehicles had been broken into.

The pair initially tried to flee, but both were taken into custody on theft and other charges.

Langinbelik was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail, while the juvenile suspect was taken to a youth facility.

Investigators with the sheriff's office are continuing to review security camera footage and investigate the incident.
