DETROIT -- For the second time in less than a year, a slots player at MGM Grand Detroit has won a jackpot worth at least $1 million. On Saturday, July 19, a $1,075,996 jackpot was won by a player who wagered on a Dragon Link slot machine.

The win comes roughly a year after the high-limit progressive jackpot Dragon Link game made its debut at MGM Grand Detroit. The casino was the first in Michigan to offer the game, bringing it to the floor in July 2024.

MGM Grand Detroit did not name the winner, but said the prize is the largest awarded by the casino this year. It is also the second prize of more than $1 million won at MGM Grand Detroit since November, when a player won a casino-record $1,271,645 jackpot.
