FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker is outlining a detailed plan on Thursday to address youth violence.
Youth violence remains a subject of concern in Fort Wayne, as several deadly shootings in the city have involved those 21 and younger so far this year.
At the end of July, Mayor Tucker, Fort Wayne Police Chief Scott Caudill, and community advocates invited the public to a community discussion to listen to the public’s concerns and get feedback about the issue.
The event was capped at 190 people, who had to pre-register and submit questions online ahead of time. Less than 10 questions were pre-selected to be answered at the forum.
