CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The University of Northern Iowa is set to celebrate its Homecoming this fall with a series of events marking the start of the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration.

This year’s festivities promise special guests and entertainment, highlighting the university's history and future.

A highlight of the Homecoming will be a performance by Marshall Charloff & The Purple xPeRIeNCE, a renowned Prince tribute band. The band, co-founded by Charloff and Matt “Doctor” Fink, will perform on Friday, October 3.

The Homecoming parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at 11 a.m. in downtown Cedar Falls. Drew Conrad, the 2025 Heritage Honours Alumni Service Award winner, will be the grand marshal. Conrad is the executive director for Business & Community Services at UNI.
