An $840,000 bulk-fuel agreement was recently approved between the city of Apache Junction and Senergy Petroleum LLC for a term of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
The fuel also will be used by the water and sewer districts and the Superstition Fire and Medical District, with those entities reimbursing the city.
The Apache Junction City Council voted unanimously Aug. 5 as part of a consent agenda with other items to approve an agreement using a state cooperative contract.
The city last year entered into an agreement with the same business for $840,000 in bulk fuel for July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025, Public Works Director Ted Wolff said at a June 2 council work session.
Mayor Chip Wilson asked if the same dollar value was needed this year and Wolff said yes it was the same amount.
