PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police say two suspects burglarized East Valley homes to steal high-end kitchen appliances and resell them, even using some of the funds to rent a luxury sports car.

According to investigators, 22-year-old Aiden Cornish and 20-year-old Trent Kennedy were arrested by Scottsdale officers on July 23.

Scottsdale detectives launched the investigation after receiving reports of two home burglaries near Dynamite Boulevard and Alma School Road between July 13 and 14. Investigators then received information from the Paradise Valley Police Department, who said detectives were investigating two similar burglaries that occurred between June 13 and 16.

Paradise Valley Police obtained video footage of Cornish’s black GMC truck, which was seen driving toward one victim’s home.
