BOSTON —
ABC's "Good Morning America" made its sixth stop in Massachusetts as part of a nationwide tour leading up to the country's 250th birthday, celebrating Wally's Jazz Club Café in Boston.
ABC correspondent Will Reeve went to the club, which was founded in 1947 by Elynor Walcott's parents.
"It was started by my mother and father in 1947," Walcott said. "My father loved this city. He was an immigrant from Barbados. My father said they started Wally’s so that his people could have a place to come to."
Walcott was presented with a proclamation declaring the day as Wally’s Day in Boston.
"I think it is truly a tribute," Walcott said. "This is an amazing moment for our family that 'GMA' chose us."
