ESPN will become the exclusive U.S. home for WWE’s biggest events, including “WrestleMania,” under the terms of a new five-year, $1.6 billion deal, both companies announced Wednesday morning.

The partnership, which kicks off next year, will move what the wrestling promotion calls its premium live events off Peacock and onto ESPN’s new paid direct-to-consumer streaming service. The deal includes select simulcasting of major events, plus other programming, on ESPN’s TV networks.
