FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 25-year-old man accused in a deadly Wednesday shooting was dating the victim’s child’s mother, according to court records.

Alaye Hanson is charged with murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Julian Keith Flowers in the 7200 block of Lakeridge Drive.

Flowers was shot in the abdomen, according to court documents obtained by 21Investigates. His cousin called 911 after the shooting and said the shooter was still in an apartment at the scene.

Flowers was taken to an area hospital but later died from his injuries.
