A road near the PV shopping center could have bike lanes added and traffic lanes reduced this fall, though the majority of residents in a community input meeting this summer were against the change in some areas.
Phoenix Streets Department staff says it plans to decide whether to restripe by the end of summer, with the project planned for fall.
The city plans to repave the eastern section of Paradise Valley Parkway, looping around to connect to Tatum Boulevard on either end. It has the option to restore the striping as it is now after the road is repaved or change the road striping to reduce traffic lanes from two to one in each direction and add a bike lane in each direction instead.
