DAVENPORT, Iowa (KCRG) - A Texas man has been sentenced after threatening Iowa victims and their families.
According to court documents and evidence presented at sentencing, 30-year-old Stephen Crain threatened two Iowa victims and their families over the course of eight months.
During the eight months, one of the victims sent Crain $4,000. Crain also falsely reported abuse to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, and sent pizza to the victim’s homes. Even after Crain was taken into custody, he sent letters to the victims and their families.
Crain was previously convicted of stalking after he sent threats to victims in Texas. He also sent pizza and called child services on the victims.
Crain was placed on parole in November 2023. Two months later, he began threatening victi
