A man authorities say led Phoenix Police on a high-speed pursuit through the city last year was indicted on multiple felonies this week.
Johnny Lee Castillo, 45, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of unlawful flight from a law enforcement vehicle, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
Castillo is accused of fleeing from police after a theft at a retail store on Nov. 19, during which he allegedly struck a Phoenix Police officer, according to the indictment.
More than a week later, police located Castillo, who led police on an hour-long pursuit with speeds reaching more than 100 mph. He also rammed a police car, according to the release.
