BOSSIER CITY, La. -- Cheers and nerves kicked off the first day of school for students across several Ark-La-Tex districts — including Bossier Parish.
At Airline High School, students stepped off buses ready to tackle new classes and environments.
“I’m kind of scared, but I am excited because I’m excited for the future that I hold,” added fellow senior Emantyi Mosey.
For some, it’s not just a new school year — it’s a whole new start.
“It’s my first year at Airline High School, also my first year in Louisiana. So it’s nerve-wracking,” said senior Sophia Deal.
Freshman students at AHS were welcomed upper classmen in blue coats. They'll be overseen by a new principal leading the administrative team. For freshmen, it was a first glimpse of what’s ahead. For seniors, a moment of reflection
