JACKSON, MI – Fairgoers can dine on fresh, affordable food at the 2025 Jackson County Fair, through The Parlour of Jackson and Jackson Coney Island .
Scott Pienta, owner of both restaurants, is serving up classic coney dogs and ice cream this week inside of the Herman Gumper Exhibition Building at the fairgrounds, 128 W. Ganson St.
Each year, a local restaurant is invited to run the cafe inside of the Gumper Building as a way to foster community partnerships, Fair Director Emily Thomas said. This year, Pienta expressed interest in being a vendor for the food court, but when fair staff informed him they still needed someone to run the cafe, he jumped at the chance.
