TRENTON, N.J. (PIX11) — A New Jersey Lottery player fell just short of winning the nearly half a billion dollar Powerball, but got a hefty pay day as a prize.

The New Jersey Lottery announced a Bergen County resident won $1 million on Wednesday from a ticket drawn at a Quick Chek in Carlstadt.

The Powerball jackpot is up to an estimated $482 million heading into Saturday's drawing, the second highest of 2025.

A New Yorker also won $1 million from a Powerball drawing on Wednesday.
