Seattle police are investigating a suspected DUI crash that seriously injured a woman early Thursday in South Seattle.
Officers responded around 1:54 a.m. to a single car crash near 33rd Avenue South and Rainier Avenue South and found a damaged vehicle.
Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and provided aid to the 19-year-old driver. She severely injured her foot in the crash and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
During the investigation officers discovered the vehicle had stuck a pole.
The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad was contacted and briefed on the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
