DICKINSON — In response to the approaching severe weather, Stark County officials have activated multiple community gathering locations that will be open to the public from 8 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m. tonight. Hours may change depending on radar updates.
Alaynea Decker, Director of Emergency Services for Stark County, confirmed the following sites will serve as temporary shelters:
Belfield: St Bernard Parish, 402 3rd St NE
Pets allowed, must be leashed or in kennel
South Heart: St Mary’s Church, 207 4th St NW
Pets allowed, must be leashed or in kennel
Dickinson: DSU Student Center, 900 Campus Dr (South Entrance)
Pets allowed, must be leashed or in kennel
Gladstone: St Thomas Church, 351 Cliff St
No pets allowed
Taylor: Taylor Lutheran Church, 233 1st St W
