DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - Dickinson Police say they responded to a 911 call from a delivery driver who was shot with a BB gun on the 900 block of 3rd Ave E.
The delivery driver said he was trying to find the owner of the groceries he was delivering when 19-year-old Curry Lomanot McCarty Jr said he could leave the groceries with him.
When the delivery driver refused, McCarty argued with him, then shot him with a BB gun, hitting the driver under the left eye.
The delivery driver was brought to the emergency room, where he was treated and released.
McCarty is charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment.
He also had two outstanding warrants in Stark and Morton Counties.
He’s in custody awaiting a bond hearing.
