FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Downtown Fort Wayne’s Lunch on the Square season ended Thursday.
Since June, local food trucks and live musical performances have taken over Freimann Square from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
Throughout the summer, the event has raised funds for Road to Recovery through its Lunch Means More initiative, done in partnership with Barnes & Thornburg.
15% of the sales from a featured vendor, which changed weekly, were contributed to the cause.
On Thursday, a $3,065 check was presented to Road to Recovery.
“Road to Recovery is honored to be the recipient of Lunch on the Square’s Lunch Means More program,” Road to Recovery Program Manager Justin Calloway said. “It truly means a lot to us to feel the support of our community.”
