The more than 30,000 residents who possess an Arkansas Mobile ID are now able to use it at more than 260 airports across the country, the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration announced Thursday.

That form of ID is a contactless, state approved credential located on smart phones and is a mobile version of an existing license or ID. It can be presented as a valid form of ID at participating venues and businesses, which now include airports.

The Mobile ID can be used at TSA checkpoints in the place of a physical license or ID.

Announced in March , testing of the Mobile ID was completed last week, according to a media release.
