KELLER, Wash. — A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service for the Swawilla Fire burn scar near Keller Thursday afternoon to last until 2 p.m.
The warning applies to parts of Lincoln County, Okanogan County and Ferry County.
According to the National Weather Service, doppler radar picked up severe thunderstorms in the area and flooding is "ongoing or expected to begin shortly."
They also warned that excessive rainfall in the area would cause mud slides along steep terrain.
The Swawilla Fire was a large wildfire that burned near Keller in 2024 .
