DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) -- A woman wanted in Florida is believed to be in Decatur with her 2-year-old daughter after her car was found in the area on Thursday.

Detectives from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office told WCIA that on Tuesday, Courtney Stanley fled from deputies in Florida who were investigating a theft from a Walmart in Bradenton, Fla.

"During the incident, her 2-year-old daughter, Amara, was unrestrained in the vehicle as Courtney sped away, knocking a deputy to the ground and evading arrest," detectives said in a news release. "Due to her actions and the circumstances of the case, the child is believed to be in danger."

On Thursday, detectives said the Illinois State Police found Stanley's vehicle in the Decatur area.
